CrossFit Regionals Week 2, Day 2

Good morning. It’s Saturday, May 21, and this is your Morning Chalk Up. Did we miss something? Send us a tip at [email protected].

REGIONALS ROUNDUP

Well the big boys and girls definitely came out to play. Emily Bridgers became the first athlete to win both events on Friday. Ben Smith is going for his eighth trip to Carson. The Event 2 record was broken twice yesterday, first by Ryan Elrod in the Atlantic Regional then a few hours later in the West by Cody Anderson with a time of 18:09. Event Impossible. After 5 Regionals, no woman have been able to finish Event 2. Maybe the best 2 minutes of CrossFit you’ll see this whole weekend. Watch as Jeremy Lancaster gets pumped up from the crowd to come back from 3 failed attempts at 265 to stick one in the finals seconds. Lucas Parker literally meditated on the floor during the snatch ladder. Dave Castro grabbed some slow mo of Sam Fonoti’s 175 pound snatch. These are the pants Cody Anderson wore in competition yesterday. Apparently a lot of people have been asking about them. Christy Adkins and Talayna Fortunato are fighting hard to get back to Carson.
