Carleen Mathews Celebrates 6 Years Sober — Writing a Facebook post two years ago, Mathews remembered: “It was right about this time 4 years ago that I walked into my therapists office, hung over on a Monday from a weekend bender, depressed, and hopeless…I said to her, ‘I can’t take it anymore I have to stop.'” Today, on her six year anniversary: “Today I set a new PR….6 years clean and sober!!…I love the life I have today, today drinking is not an option in my life…and I have people around me who support that ?…There is so much more than a life of drugs and alcohol. I can’t say it’s been easy but, it’s worth it!!!! Please reach out if you need support!”
