In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, businesses working in the CrossFit space are rallying to support box owners struggling financially or anticipating financial strain the longer mandatory lockdowns last.

A big effort: O2 Recovery Drink is taking several measures to help affiliates during these unknown and uncertain times.

  • It’s offering box owners a free 21-day “no strings attached” supply of O2 drinks.
  • Those affiliates that are closed can also earn 50 percent of the profits if their members use a unique code to purchase drinks while in isolation: “I’d rather they buy O2 from you than online, but if they can’t, then this is the next best thing,” said Dave Colina, O2 CEO.
  • Affiliates that are still open can liquidate their inventory at 50 percent off, to free up some fast cash.
  • And for those that have subscription shipments with O2, you’ll receive 25 percent off or have an option to skip it or even have it sent to your home. Slater Coe from Derby City CrossFit “…was really impressed by what they’re trying to do to help out box owners, like myself.”
  • CEO Dave Colina added: “This is a scary time. Like you, I’m concerned about the impact CV19 is going to have on our business. We don’t know how this will shake out, but what I do know is that in crisis we’re stronger together.”

Trifecta and RP Strength have partnered up, offering members 40 percent off meal delivery services, using the code “40OFF” for first-time customers.

  • RP CEO Nick Shaw told the Morning Chalk Up: “We’ve seen an incredible amount of support within our RP Clients group on Facebook in terms of our members offering support and encouragement to one another in these really hard times for everyone. We’re trying to stress the idea that it’s ok to ease back on dieting right now as there are much greater concerns out there.

Back YOUR Gym Because They Back YOU!” is the advice of LRX Apparel, who’s launched a “Back My Gym” campaign encouraging members to keep paying their membership fees despite mandated closures.

  • The brand is selling t-shirts and giving 50 percent of profits back to the customer’s gym “to help cover costs in this time of unknown.”

Active Life RX has launched a “Bulletproof Big 4 Bundle” hoping to raise $50,000 for gyms worldwide.

  • How it works? The program would usually cost athletes $395, but they’re giving $100 off and in turn, sending another $100 cash to a gym of the athlete’s choice.
  • If you choose to subscribe to just one of their programs it’s a $50 off, $50 cashback incentive.

WODProof is offering all gym owners two months free, to create a virtual gym on its platform.

  • On the coach package, you can create a team, create and share workouts, share scores and videos with other members as well as track scores on a leaderboard.
  • There’s no obligation to sign up after the 60-day trial.

RX Smart Gear Australia, like many brands, are distributing free workouts.

  • They have designed 14 bodyweight workouts to do at home and with minimal equipment – just bodyweight and a dumbbell. You can download the free e-book here.

Caffeine and Kilos is offering free shipping in the US through to March 31, for those stuck at home, when many coffee shops are closed.

GOWOD is offering 40 days free on its comprehensive mobility program.

CrossFit HQ has offered some positive thoughts, but little direct action so far: “Despite uncertainty, we’re coming together even when we’re forced to be apart…” CrossFit posted on Instagram, encouraging people to use the #Supportyourbox hashtag to showcase the unique initiatives taking place during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • “Around the world, many gyms have already lent equipment to their members, organized video conferences to keep classes running, and donated time and advice to those who need help,” the post continued.
