The Country Where CrossFit is Replacing Church
The Czech Republic has the fourth most atheists worldwide and the second most in Europe, after Sweden, according to a 2017 survey by WIN-Gallup, 76% of the country is atheist, compared to 10% in the US.
This is having an unexpected positive effect on CrossFit, the country manager believes.
“The sense of belonging the communities give here to people, is not necessarily higher value, but they don't have a church to go to, for example or something like that. I think that's something a little more specific to here. Of course, there are some religious people,” said Dora Stenclova, country manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
