Masters 55+ RX programming

As an older athlete (56yrs) I feel sometimes we need saving from ourselves, BUT coaches and competitions do not necessarily encourage it.

I believe every box should, as a matter of routine, white board Male/Female RX  AND 55+ RX, then the session can be scaled appropriately from there. 

Lower level local competitions should also practice the same approach if there are no age specific categories.

I have ruined myself too many times trying to RX even though I know deep down that the workout is not aimed at a 55+ its aimed at 20+.

I really want to compete against the youngsters, it good for them and me, but we need CrossFit to make it easy by setting the example and some very simple guidelines to affiliates.

Having discussed this idea with many older athletes, there appears to be a fairly broad agreement that these very simple steps would keep them engaged and definitely increase participation in competition.
