Morning Chalk Up is looking for a full-time Copywriter and Account Executive to join our growing Advertising and Partnerships team. 

This position will be responsible for working with our brand partners each quarter to help them reach their goals in Morning Chalk Up with killer advertising initiatives and copy as well as working with the Director of Brand Partnerships and Growth to identify and develop new opportunities for partnership and revenue growth.

Requirements of the position:

  • Communicate effectively with brand partners throughout the entire ad process from post-sales kick off through campaign execution and follow-up.
  • Help partners create successful ad copy through your insight and expertise.
  • Attend marketing calls with brand advertisers and/or agencies to identify partner needs, develop response proposals, and pitch ideas succinctly and effectively.
  • Provide insight and follow up on partner ads.
  • Create reports for internal and external use on advertising success.
  • Do ad follow-up to see how successful campaigns were.
  • Work with the Director of Brand Partnerships and Growth to create case studies of successful partnership campaigns.
  • Create quarterly reports for package purchasers on key metrics (impression, CTR, and ideas for further collaboration etc.)
  • Onboard new partners within the Morning Chalk Up business portal.
  • Work with the Director of Brand Partnerships and Growth to identify and grow new opportunities for revenue.

Minimum requirements:

  • You know the difference between writing great content and great copy.
  • Proven track record of meeting specific marketing KPIs and familiarity with goal-oriented advertising.
  • Experience collaborating across creative teams 
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with experience weaving in RFP language.
  • Self-starter eager to build new programs, processes, and initiatives for the overall growth of the business.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant media platforms (newsletter, onsite, multimedia, social, etc.) as well as nuances between editorial and advertorial content.
  • Incredibly organized with the ability to project manage and produce your own work and collaborate across teams clearly and confidently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience working inside an ad agency or within a major brands advertising team
  • Understand and can create proposal decks and marketing materials as they relate to advertising initiatives.
  • Ability to craft creative briefs for clients with a focus on goal-orientated creatives
  • Familiarity with the “CrossFit ecosystem”. Those new to the industry must display an ability and willingness to immerse themselves in the world of CrossFit in order to create value propositions for brands entering or operating in the space.
