The LT Games – Life Time Enters the Hybrid Fitness Arena

September 16, 2025 by

In the growing world of competitive fitness, new “challenges,” brands, and experiences are continually emerging.

Not only is HYROX expanding its international presence, but competitions like the ATHX Games have also established a strong foothold in Europe, supported by Adidas.

  • Another event, Apex, held last month in Austin, TX, featured top athletes Hannah Black, Kelly Matthews, and Katelyn Johnson.

We can now add one more to the list.

The details: Life Time, the brand behind the nationwide chain of premium gyms, announced that it has entered the competitive fitness market with its new “LT Games,” which are scheduled for this October.

  • “The LT Games will not only feature top-tier competitions but also inspire, train and recognize the next wave of hybrid athletes through dedicated programs and classes in its clubs,” a company spokesperson remarked in the press release sent out last week.

The inaugural LT Games will be held at the Life Time Target Center in Minneapolis, MN, on October 25 and 26, bringing together hundreds of athletes to challenge themselves across 17 stages that test strength, endurance, power, and agility.

  • What makes this competition unique is the structure of the LT Games, which follows a “choose-your-own-adventure approach.”

Using a “weight-to-repetition scaling system,” participants adjust their effort to match their abilities. This enables athletes to select heavier weights with fewer reps or lighter weights with more reps.

The event: The 17 stages of the LT Games are as follows (each listed with the male/female stage requirements):

  • Treadmill run: 1,000 meters
  • Barbell deadlift: Accumulate 10,000/7,500 pounds
  • Row machine: 1,000/750 meters
