REGIONALS FAST FACTS
Here’s a collection of fun facts we assembled while watching the Atlantic and West Regionals this weekend. Ben Smith has the most Regionals wins of any athlete with 6. He’s the first male athlete to qualify for the CrossFit Games 8 times and he’s only 26. Alea and Gary Helmick both qualified for the Games making them only the second husband and wife couple to qualify in the same year. Christy Adkins qualified for her seventh Games appearance. Jacob Anderson is the 3rd sibling to go to the Games. 26,000 + viewers tuned into the Atlantic Regional livestream to watch the final men’s heat and announcement of the top 5. After Event 7, male athletes and the crowd waited 16 minutes for judges to review the no-rep levied on Jeff Evans’ last rope climb before the final tally and announcement was made. Only 18 points separated 3rd through 8th place going into Event 7 in the Atlantic Regional. Cole Sager was in 9th place before he won Event 7 to secure the fifth spot at the West Regionals. 3 new event records were set over the weekend.

Elijah Muhammad heads down to Tennessee to workout with Rich Froning.
