QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Each of us has been put on Earth with the ability to do something well. We cheat ourselves and the world if we don’t use that ability as best we can.” — George Allen

The First Event of Strength in Depth Is…

Tell me.

19.1. As in the week 1 event of the 2019 CrossFit Games Open.

Come again?

Allow us to explain.

Yesterday, we broke news about the dates of the 2019 CrossFit Open, which kicks off on February 21, 2019.

Also happening that weekend is CrossFit Strength in Depth (SiD), a newly sanctioned event in London. A lot of the athletes competing in London will presumably be doing the Open and since spending three days vying for a top spot tends to leave little in the tank to compete against the best on the Open leaderboard, the organizers of SiD came up with an ingenious solution.

Which is?

The first event of Strength in Depth will now be Open workout 19.1, event director Ollie Mansbridge confirmed. All athletes will do 19.1 on the main competition floor against other athletes. This way they can submit their score for the Open and for a podium spot at SiD at the same time.

Look at that. Give it up to the sport of CrossFit for finding innovative and flexible solutions.

3 Reasons You Should Buy One of Our Tees

Alright folks. It’s your Editor-in-Chief Justin LoFranco coming in hot to make the big pitch.

So before you start scrolling down onto the next story, here are three reasons I think you should consider buying one of our tanks and tees.

  1. Because you love us — It might not seem like much, but buying one of our tanks and tees goes a long way to supporting our company. At the end of the day, we’re a pretty small, self-funded team delivering free content to the world of CrossFitters and owning a piece of our merch goes a long way to supporting us.
  2. Because they’re truly limited edition — We only run sales for a few days, a couple times a year, and it’s never the same design twice. So when you pick-up a shirt you know only a few other athletes have one too. P.S. I forgot to order one last time and I don’t even have one!
  3. And lastly, because you only have until next Wednesday before they disappear — These limited edition items are only available until next Wednesady at noon PT. Then we send the orders to our factory of elves to be delivered before Christmas.

And if none of those reason convince ya then do it because I’m asking: will you buy one of our tanks and tees?

Ok, sales pitch over. Now back to the good stuff.
