The story coming out of Bay County, FL about the competitive high school girls weightlifting that’s attracting female athletes from cheerleading, softball, basketball and track. The program now has around 30 participants.”It’s neat because the first year, they’re not very confident. They’re concerned about the singlets, they’re just wondering how they can do it. And then as the years grow, just to see the confidence in the girls themselves, and knowing that they can do something. Not only strength but as confidence.”

At 5 feet, 2 inches tall and 115 pounds, Tiffany Beaupre is a blond, blue-eyed powerhouse, with emphasis on power.
Despite her all-American good looks and petite frame, she can raise 145 pounds over her head in one quick lift and close to 190 pounds with two. If that wasn’t enough, she can do back flips, walk on her hands, and stand on one hand with her legs in the air.
“I get my nails done. I go shopping. I like to dress nice. I’m definitely more girly than tomboy. When anybody finds out that I weight lift, they’re shocked. The thing I get all the time is ‘You’re so little.’ ”
Fundamentally, the upcoming holidays are about one thing: the enjoyment and celebration of life. That means enjoying special times with your closest family, friends, and yes, your favorite holiday foods. And while no one is going to debate that those special holiday meals are some of the most delicious, they can bring some anxiety about dreaded holiday weight gain.
The big problem is that while this anxiety doesn’t actually help you make logical decisions about holiday eating, it definitely saps you of the peace of mind that’s pretty much a prerequisite for enjoying the holidays to their fullest.
