BROOKE ENCE IS LAUNCHING A CLOTHING LINE.
|
Say what?
Tis true, tis true.
On top of breaking into Hollywood, being a CrossFit bad ass, collaborating on a skincare line for athletes, this real life CrossFit Wonder Woman is launching her own clothing line all while training to return to the CrossFit Games.
Introducing Encewear.
The initial release will feature a cropped hoodie, mock neck tank, muscle tee and a unisex long sleeve t-shirt, with plans to expand the collection over the coming months.
So when can I start shopping?
Next Friday, February 23 the line goes live at EnceWear.com, and here’s a look at a few of the threads.

COFFEE BREAK CONVERSATIONS

What to tell your friend who’s sweat angle looks like a dead person lying on the floor…
Wet wipes please. In a study conducted by ellipticalreviews.com, examining bacteria found in group fitness classes, CrossFit equipment took the cake with nearly 48 times the amount of bacteria as a toilet seat. The average toilet seat has 3,200 culture-forming units per square centimeter. When CrossFit barbells were swabbed from three separate classes, the average number of culture-forming units was a staggering 153,410. Not all bacteria is actually harmful, but as we’re not doctors we’re just gonna say a little spray (bottle) could go a long way. Oh and if you’re wondering what number two was, it’s hot yoga.

HOORAY IT’S FRIYAY.
|
Three things to kick off your Friday that’ll make it seem like 4PM already:
- Jacob Heppner taught his Corgi the ancient Scottish sport of Curling and it’s the best thing you’ll watch all day.
- Drinking two glasses of wine before bed can help you lose weight, according to a study that says something in wine turns white fat into beige fat, which is apparently easier to burn off. #ScratchesHead.
- …And this person’s Corgi has been sneaking out at night to ride her neighbor’s pony. #NotEvenKidding
Happy Friday y’all.

- PRO TIP: SCALING UP — For all you athletes out there going RX+, this video is for you; it’s an important reminder to check your ego at the door.
- BE ADVISED — CrossFit HQ released the 2018 standard for hand protection. Basically, you can tape the bar or use hand protection, but not both.
- FIGHT FOR WHITNEY — Meet Whitney Bozzer, who on her 21st birthday found out she had cancer. Thirteen years later, she’s still in treatment; this time, for the sixth time. Whitney suffers from a genetic mutation that causes cancer to return over and over again. Spartan Fitness 360 in Middletown, RI is getting together on February 24 to support and rally around their friend and coach with a WOD and potluck. You can hear more about her story and journey by watching this.
- BEATING ANOREXIA — Tara Shoebridge-Ramos is a 28-year-old CrossFit coach at Great White CrossFit in Hackensack, NJ. But before that, her eating disorder got so bad she wouldn’t eat in front of friends. “I felt a lot of pressure to also be really skinny and have a certain look.”
