QUOTE OF THE DAY
“Are all the daily disciplines that you are currently engaged in taking you where you want to go? You are always in the process of who you are becoming. Whatever you are doing right now, you are getting better at. So if you are complaining a lot, you will get really good at complaining. But if you are taking action, moving forward & being decisive that is also what you’re getting better at. Choose wisely and be conscious of your day to day actions. — Benny Garard, brother of Ricky Garard
BUSTED!
WHAT HAPPENED?
Alberto Delgado, coach at War House CrossFit in Reynosa, Mexico committed an unspeakable crime — he left his weights out on the floor.
We’ve all witnessed (or been subjected to) the public shaming of members “forgetting” to pick-up their gear after class, and members of War House weren’t about to let their coach get off easy.
SO WHAT DID THEY DO?
As they say, revenge is a dish best served cold.
So athletes took a photo and posted it to Facebook. For every “Like” on the pic, Alberto had to do one burpee. We’re not sure how many likes it got before 3, 2, 1 Go! But the post is just a tad under 500 now.
Alberto probs isn’t going to do that again. Practice what you preach Alberto.

THE RICKY GARARD PEDs SAGA CONTINUES…
SHOTS FIRED — Ricky Garard Responds…”On the pursuit of becoming all I could be as a CrossFit athlete, I have obviously taken the rules and boundaries to the very edge. I looked into, researched and was willing to dabble into ways that could improve my performance legally and within the rules, with no intention whatsoever to be a cheat…I really hope The CrossFit Games continues to tighten up their testing procedures, enforce the same level of strictness to all other competitors like they have to me…It’s tough to be on the receiving end when I know and have seen other top athletes in the sport intentionally ooutsmartingthe system, getting away with it and ruining the integrity of the sport.”
SHOTS RETURNED — Patrick Vellner on Getting Named Third Fittest Man…“Last night I was named the Third Fittest Man on Earth…Not to cheers of the CrossFit community…but alone at home, sitting at my kitchen table doing homework…I am overwhelmed and excited and frankly a little giddy. However, I’m also disappointed. Those precious moments at the CrossFit Games are ones that I work so hard all year for, and they are moments that I can never get back…I’m glad that CrossFit is catching some big fish and showing that their testing works, but I’m sad to see this stain on the sport….When someone cheats, they aren’t simply cheating the sport, they are cheating the other athletes who have sacrificed a lot to get where they are. This is just sad and unfair.”
CASE CLOSED — Thuri Helgadottir says what most of us have been thinking…”In response to Garard I would like to say: Don’t try to justify your actions by dragging us all down with you. If you know of people cheating, name some names, contact HQ with your info and do your part in upholding the integrity of the sport. Don’t make us all look questionable in order to make yourself look better!”

STORY SERIES: How has CrossFit helped you achieve a goal?
“I fought a long term drug addiction with heroin. When I was in drug treatment I made CrossFit a part of my daily routine. I got my level 1. Now I work at the treatment center I went through. I take residents to CrossFit 4 days a week. Hoping it will help save there lives like it did mine. Mind you, CrossFit is not the only thing I do to stay sober, but it’s a huge part of my recovery!” — Jacob Kenison, CrossFit Rise Again in Orem, UT
