GAMES PREP
Ben Smith is settling into the Games-pre grind churning out clean and jerks at285 pounds. Samantha Briggs hits 42 ring muscle-ups followed by 20 weighted bar muscle-ups. Lots of snatches and volume for Jamie Hagiya. Thuri Helgadottir hitting some sandbag thrusters. Kristin Holte hits some deficit strict handstand push-ups. Scott Panchik kicks off Day 1 of training with power cleans.
Even heavier Grace – Sara Sigmundsdottir hits Grace at 220 pounds. It’s unclear what the time was, if it was done as an EMOM, or what, but she completed 30 clean and jerks at 220…damn.
Sheila Barden in the Raw – “I failed more than 30 snatches, at weights varying from 135 to 165 today. I failed to finish Heavy DT for the fourth time in my life. I had to modify the weight on more than one WOD today, just so I could finish. I’m not perfect, I have bad days.”

This 12 year old Massachusetts cancer survivor, who was diagnosed at 10, joined CrossFit to keep her strength up for the tough journey ahead. She now wants to inspire other kids suffering through the same thing, saying: “For kids that get diagnosed with cancer – think positive the whole time. Be brave, and don’t think about the bad things. Think about the positive things.” Can you beat Miranda Oldroyd’s AMRAP 3 score? Daniel Petro does a Turkish baby get-up, yikes!
