Good morning and welcome to the weekend edition of the Morning Chalk Up. This is Jessica Danger, your Managing Editor, to bring you a quick wrap-up of the major news items throughout the week. Today’s edition is powered by Revtown.
It’s that time of the year — time to celebrate dads. And Revtown is celebrating with the perfect gift: a pair of jeans and a polo for $100.
Revtown reinvented the “dad jean” with denim tough enough to withstand the challenges of parenting and stylish so you look good doing it. Created by ex-Under Armour guys, these jeans are the perfect balance of style, comfort and durability. Whether you’re a human dad, dog dad, or know someone who’s a dad — treat someone (or yourself) to some damn good denim.

Excuses are Easy
|
It’s real easy to make excuses at 5:30 in the morning.
I’m on vacation.
No one will know.
It’s okay to skip this one time.
I’ll do it later.
But you won’t do it later, and you would know that you skipped it this one time, even though you are on vacation. Which is why I still got up this morning and went downstairs to the gym in my hotel in Cancun. I made up a little WOD based on the equipment they had there (dumbbells! And I packed my jump rope. Always pack your jump rope!) and I got after it, watching the sunrise over the Yucatan peninsula while everyone else slept.
It was the highlight of my day.
So, as we enjoy the weekend and we prepare for the week, remember that excuses are easy but the work is hard and worth it, even on vacation.
Be well,
Jessica Danger

Isn’t the word hodgepodge a weird one? Try saying it out loud, right now. Remember that old hodgepodge Honda commercial? While you’re googling that, here are seven things you can check out.
-
All things breakfast, the most important part of the day.
-
Unless you have a puppy, like Dave Castro. Then puppy time is the most important time, always.
-
Our Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Justin LoFranco, wants you to take a stab at this WOD.
-
If you do, let us know how it goes on our Morning Chalk Up Community Facebook Page.
-
Fun fact: Katrin Davidsdottir thinks about going to medical school.
-
Teamwork makes the dream work, people.
-
And whatever you do, don’t challenge James Townsend to a jumping contest.
