The story out of California is all about Josh Bridges. During event one he PRed his snatch at 265 pounds, twice! Then during Event 2, it all came down to a photo finish with Christian Lucero and Josh Bridges going rep for rep to the very end. Lucero edged out Bridges but he sits in second. Becca Voigt is hoping to qualify for the Games for her 9th time, the most of any athlete. Sad news but Kristine Andali, who finished the Open in 3rd place, withdrew from competition before Event 2 due to an injury. We ran into Chris Spealler and he told us Event 2 would have been his favorite.
