CrossFit Regionals Week 1 Did Not Dissappoint

Good morning. It’s Monday, May 16, and this is your Morning Chalk Up. Did we miss something? Send us a tip at [email protected].

QUOTE OF THE DAY

“The more difficult the victory, the greater the happiness in winning.” – Pele

REGIONALS ROUNDUP

IN 2 MINUTES…

This is the first time we won’t have Dan Bailey competing at the CrossFit Games since 2010. Josh Bridges says goodbye to Dan. Jason Khalipa said he’s retiring for the foreseeable future from the Games, but here’s an update on his life and Ava over the past few months. Becca Voigt is going to the Games for her ninth time. A 19 year old from Australia is going to the CrossFit Games and her name is Madeline Sturt. The California Regional Men’s final heat is probably one of the best 3 minutes of CrossFit we’ve seen in a long long time. Jared Enderton proposed to his girlfriend at the South Regionals and she said yes. Lindsey Valenzuela has a message for those that didn’t make the Games this year.

Athlete to Watch: In her rookie year as an individual competitor, Sarah Loogman outshone some more seasoned veterans and tied for 14th with Kris Clever. Here was our interview with Sara.
