Good morning and welcome to the Morning Chalk Up. Today’s edition was chalked up while doing 50 bar facing burpees, like we do every day. This is our challenge for the month. What are you gonna do?
P.S. We see you Caroline Collins. Congrats on the 105 pound snatch PR.

Katrín Davíðsdóttir is not like other 23-year-old girls. Sure, she’s hilarious on Snapchat, loves Instagram and spending time with her friends and family but that’s kind of where the similarities end. See, Katrín is officially the Fittest Woman in the World.
Katrín, from Iceland, is the reigning women’s champ of the CrossFit Games – a title she’s held for two years now (she’s the second woman to accomplish this) – and, as you’d expect for someone in pretty much the best physical condition possible, her lifestyle looks a little bit different from yours…
Here’s her average day.
“I wake up anywhere between, like 6:20 and 7am,” Katrín says when we meet during a brief trip to the UK recently. “I really like slow mornings. I like to wake up and cook breakfast and I always start my day with a big glass of water. I have two egg whites and then add normally a pepper or another kind of vegetable to the egg scramble. With that I have oatmeal and banana and then I have coffee with half-and-half in, kind of like cream.”

You probably wouldn’t run for the toilet if I told you today’s workout was a 4-round couplet of rowing and thrusters. You’d just grab a barbell and a rower and start warming up. But what if I told you Games Director Dave Castro will announce a couplet of rowing and thrusters on Feb. 23?
I’ll tell you the best way to prevent panic on Feb. 23: Prepare now. You have just over five weeks to do so, and I have a perfect plan to ensure you’re ready to go when Castro drops the first bomb of the 2017 competition season. The plan involves very regular doses of constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity, preferably in the company of a coach and a few friends.

Jillion Potter, Olympic Rugby Player from Denver, is facing the unexpected relapse of synovial sarcoma, a rare form of cancer she thought she’d beaten nearly two years ago. Last Saturday, the CrossFit Train community rallied to support their family member with a fundraiser and Everyday Warrior cut a $10,000 check in addition to local funds. “It was very overwhelming. I was pretty nervous coming in here. This is a massive turnout, and it’s so amazing to see so many people from different communities gather in one place to support us. I just feel incredibly grateful. There’s just so much hope in this room, hope and love.“
