RAGNAR-WHAT?

WHAT HAPPENED?
Yesterday, CrossFit HQ announced a new partnership with Ragnar Relay — not to be confused with Ragnarok the new Thor movie coming out in October.

Ragnar Relays are a long distance team overnight running relays with events all across the country. And in 2018, all races will now include a dedicated CrossFit Division.

SO WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
In CrossFit HQ’s own words: “The official CrossFit Division at Ragnar Relay races will allow local area CrossFit affiliates to compete against each other for the chance to win a limited-edition 80-lb. kettlebell trophy.”

Basically, each event will have a designated CrossFit start time so all affiliates kick off at the same time and compete head-to-head for two days and one night.

THIS IS COOL. I WANT IN.
Awesome. Well, our part here is done. You can check out the calendar and signup your affiliate directly with Ragnar relays.

When you start putting your body, health, and fitness in perspective? Mantras & Macros Podcast is born“Between the two of us we’ve lost over 140 pounds, and we’ve come to learn that overall health is SO MUCH MORE than just what foods you eat and how often you work out. It’s how you think. It’s how you speak to yourself. It’s your body image and your relationship with food. It’s how you treat yourself during the good AND bad moments.”

When you have a mild form of cerebral palsy and learn to walk? Ask Peter Crimi, a 31-year-old crossfitter at Heroes Journey in Parsippany, NJ. Born nine weeks early, Doctors said that if he survived he’d never walk or talk. Well he made it and survived for 27 years with the help of adaptive crutches till one day he said “I can do better” and took up CrossFit (with the help of a friend). Four years later, Crimi cut 30 pounds, ditched the crutches, got down on one knee and asked “will you marry me?” She said yes and he’s married. So much for not walking or talking.
