“A Thank You Letter” by Tommy Marquez, CrossFit Media

The 2016 season comprised seven unique competition stages, sprawled across ten months and crescendoing in July as the CrossFit Games celebrated their landmark 10th year.

Over 320,000 people signed up to compete during the five grueling weeks of the Open. Bar muscle-ups and overhead walking lunges showed up in the Open for the first time. “Average Joes” had the opportunity to compete alongside some of the world’s best, and both a garage gym and a military base played host to Open announcements.

It may have been the 10th year of the CrossFit Games, but it’s still just the beginning. From a backyard barbeque in 2007 to a worldwide phenomenon touching every part of the globe, the first 10 years of the CrossFit Games have been nothing short of spectacular.

None of it would be possible without you, the community. So on behalf of myself and our studio team,

Thank You. (and please, no repeat of 12.1)

“Rogue Fitness at 10” by Bill Henniger, CEO

“This business started in my garage in 2006 while I was still working at General Motors..In the minimal free time in between, I began working out at home, buying gym equipment from niche vendors around the country…I began sketching concepts and ideas for building a network of drop ship vendors and launching an e-commerce store. Once I realized this may actually work, I created a plan and took a leap of faith, leaving behind a great job at GM…American manufacturing is still clearly something that works and that I firmly believe in. And at Rogue, we’ve made it our personal mission to bring it back as best we can.”
