There are 2.5 million homeless kids in America and Kettlebells4Kids is stepping up to help bring the power of fitness to homeless children living in shelters across our country. In September, they’re hosting a nationwide fundraiser to bring active play and fitness equipment and programs to homeless kids living in shelters and you can sign your affiliate up to host.
Coming Saturday, July 8th… The Dallas Five Throwdown, a day of music and events in memorial of the four Dallas Police Officers and one Dart Police Officer killed in the line of duty on the night of July 7, 2016. The fundraiser will raise money for the Halo Fund, a tax-exempt fund that provides financial services and support to the families of Dallas Police Officers who have been killed in the line of duty.

Adrian McGough was eating lunch when the alarms sounded. Leaping into the truck alongside his fellow firefighters of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade in Melbourne, Australia, he listened to radio calls describing the scene as they sped away.
“It’s like before a CrossFit workout where you start to get the butterflies in your stomach,” the 35-year-old said. “You’ve got to calm yourself down and stay focused and think, ‘Alright, what’s my approach going to be?’”
The floor in the burning apartment seemed barely solid, the wood blistering beneath his feet as he pushed through charred furniture, seeking the source of the flames in the heavy black smoke.
“You pull on all of your training, and a lot of it really is the mental training of the CrossFit workouts,” he said. “If things are getting tough, you just really need to put that aside and focus on what it is that you’re doing and make sure that you stay sharp.”
