Alyssa Ritchey squats 250 pounds for a new 6RM. Shelia Barden, “This is what five years of hard work, dedication and perseverance look like.” Cassidy Lance has a near miss at 255 pounds. Sara Sigmundsdottir reps out some double kettlebell snatches. Maddy Myers decided it was time to start doing strict muscle-ups.
WHAT WE’RE WATCHING
Not even close to CrossFit related, but it’s really awesome. NASA live streamed Earth from outer space yesterday. The hours long live stream covers so many beautiful aspects of the blue marble you’re going to want to have two screens open at work for this one.

Business owner, coach, pig mom. Cortney Batchelor does it all. Not to mention she’s a two-time national champion weightlifter, member of the Pan Am team and American Record holder (86 kg snatch).
Batchelor, who initially started weightlifting as a way to stay in shape for high school basketball, won gold at last month’s American Open in both the snatch (83 kg/181-lb) and clean and jerk (100 kg/220-lb), winning the 53kg class. Her efforts helped Team Juggernaut women win the team championship.
Athlete Daily: Give us a brief overview of your diet.
Well, it’s that time of year again. Winter is upon us. If you live in a cold-weather state like me, well, you know the story. We don’t spend a lot of time outside in January and February, thanks to blizzards and snow days.
Truly being stuck in your house is not what I would consider ideal. On those days we can’t even make it to the gym — what a tragedy!
But in all seriousness, a little living room camp-out never hurt anybody. Plus, I don’t really have to let my fitness suffer because of it. This fitness coach has a few tricks up her sleeve. They’re called at-home workouts and anybody can do them.
