On Monday, we officially launched Morning Chalk Up Europe, a new publication focused specifically on following CrossFit in Europe. If you’re interested, you can signup or tell a friend across the pond.

INSPIRING STORIES
Amy Nicole Pierce of CrossFit Lake Effect did 17.1 at 38 weeks pregnant then delivered a baby on Monday!
Joey Geib of CrossFit Q in Quakertown, PA is battling Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. After 18 weeks of treatment, Joey had his last round of chemo last Thursday. On Sunday, he completed 17.1. “While cancer may have robbed me of some strength and work capacity, I’m #InTheOpen to prove that it hasn’t taken my will, my determination, and my mental toughness. I may have gotten only 111 reps, but each rep is a victory – a personal victory, and a victory to show others that life doesn’t have to stop when cancer comes knocking. I wouldn’t be in the Open without the help of my wife, friends, family, and box-mates at CrossFit Q.”
CHALK UP READS

I’m not anywhere close to getting in the Games. Signing up for the Open is more of a test to myself. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. That I could make it through the workouts and not die, even when I feel like I will.

You’ll get back on track when you get home.
It’s true; a few days of indulgence won’t set you too far from your fitness goals, but too many treats can leave you feeling foggy, sluggish and wishing you had remembered to pack those healthy habits in your suitcase. Here are a few tricks that I use to navigate the temptations of travel.
