Your Meal Prep Just Got Stupid Easy
|
Like the sound of that?
Do you get FOMO when scrolling through IG and you pass up that one friend whose meal prep game is totally on point? Whether you’re trying to clean up your diet, count macros, or just make your life easier by meal prepping, one thing is 1,000% sure: you have to be prepared. And honestly, it can be a lot of work.
The good news? We stumbled upon this genius service that everyone should know about — it’s called emeals.
How it works.
First, you choose your meal plan. They have paleo, gluten-free, vegan, heart healthy, and even diabetic meal plans. You choose the dishes you want and emeals creates a shopping list and provides all the recipes you need.
Genius right?
What’s even cooler is that you can then submit your shopping list directly to one of their available grocery services (like Walmart Grocery Pickup, Amazon Fresh, and Kroger Click List). You don’t even have to go to the grocery store. Louder for those in the back: YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE TO GROCERY SHOP.
Pretty sweet, right?
We think so. You can manage all of this from an app on your phone. emeals makes their dime from a super affordable monthly subscription service (as low as $5 per month), and they do all the grunt work for you.
Now you can just pick what sounds good, pick up your groceries, and get to cookin’.

Editor’s Note: Yesterday we told you about the expansion of CrossFit Sandstone. The correct name is actually CrossFit Sand Springs. Don’t worry, they still want you to come check out their new location.

Coffee Break Conversations

What to tell your friend who always says seeing a doctor is too much of a hassle…
I don’t buy it. If a professional monster truck driver can do it, so can you. Here’s the latest total badasses who have decided to go steady with Steady MD: Cassidy Lance, Cynthia Gauthier, Kari Pearce, Bethany Shadburne, and Lindsey Valenzuela have joined and you probably should too.
What to tell your friend who thinks you’ve gotta be superhero strong to even go to CrossFit…
First, false. Second, if you come to CrossFit, we will buy you one of these super cool super hero blender bottles from Rogue. Kind of the same, right?

“Adapting is Not Scaling” by Andréa Maria Cecil, CrossFit Journal
When it comes to scaling, a back squat can be modified by load or reps. Still, it remains a squat. As for a pull-up, it can be scaled to a jumping or banded one. Still, it remains a pull-up.
But for the former movement, that scale won’t work for an athlete in a wheelchair. And for the latter movement, that scale won’t work for a bilateral upper-limb amputee.
When it comes to adapting, however, “we’re making the movement modification due to the athlete’s limitations that retains the stimulus of the original workout but may not preserve the general movement pattern,” explained Marissa McGuirk, a member of CrossFit Inc.’s Adaptive Training Course Seminar Staff and member of CrossFit’s Level 1 Seminar Staff.
Prospective coaches of adaptive athletes—and adaptive athletes themselves—can consider three strategies to modify workouts: task accomplishment, movement pattern and functional-movement theme.
