2023 CrossFit Games Individual Roster: Who’s Qualified
The 2023 Semifinal season is officially over and we now officially have our list of the top 40 men and top 40 women in the world who will be competing at the 2023 Crossfit Games in just 2 months time.
Many highly ranked athletes weren’t able to punch their tickets to the Games, while other off-the-radar surprise athletes will be making their first appearance.
With so many veterans not present at this year’s Games, including Tia-Clair Toomey, Haley Adams, Brooke Wells, Thuri Helgadottir, Mallory O’Brien, and others, this year’s women’s competition is wide open for a new champion.
On the men’s side we will not be seeing Guilherme Malheiros, Ricky Garard, James Newbury, or Saxon Panchik.
Let’s take a look below at our final list of all qualified athletes:

Fitter, With Newly Minted Confidence: Alex Gazan Looking for a Breakthrough in Madison
Alex Gazan admits she was more nervous heading into the North America West Semifinal in Pasadena, CA than she was going into the Granite Games Semifinal last season.
“I felt a lot more nervous this year than last year because of those expectations and that pressure,” said Gazan, a carefree CrossFIt Games rookie last season whose only goal was to “1000 percent just soak it all in.”
This season, 21-year-old Gazan is no longer a rookie. Qualifying to Madison, WI was sort of the minimum expectation at Semis, not just coming from Gazan internally, but from the broader community.
Luke Stone does not travel light. Wherever he goes, he brings storage containers full of some of the most precious cargo known to the CrossFit community: new gear. Stone is a salesman for Treign, an athletic clothing brand founded in 2016, and regularly travels around the United States. Not only does he believe in the product and align with the values of the company, but he’s found great fulfillment in his life on the road.
Stone found CrossFit in college after his father (lovingly) suggested he start working out more. Plus, owner Jason Hanson was the basketball coach of Stone’s rival team in high school, and the two connected once Stone began CrossFit. From here, Stone fell in love with both the product and how Hanson and his wife ran the company.
“When we started selling shirts, it gave us a chance to donate to organizations and do something with money that we believed in,” Stone said.
Stone’s main gig involves traveling across the United States–from Buffalo, NY to Louisiana to North Dakota. He sets up displays for Treign at local competitions, affiliates, and other events, and while he sells lots of apparel on these trips, he says making long-lasting connections is just as important.
This is why, when he’s back home with his family and working from the storefront in his own affiliate, he spends much of his days reaching out to returning and new potential clients to form those new relationships.
While it’s a lot of work for Stone, and sometimes those long days on the road can be hard, he says that he loves working for a small company where he can be very involved.
“I’d say we truly value every single transaction and interaction we get with customers,” Stone said. “Especially from my side of things when I get to travel because I get a personal interaction with every single person that buys something.”
Stone says he’s found personal satisfaction through his travels. Since his job often means staying at the same affiliate for an entire day while classes roll through, he gets to meet a ton of interesting people.
“You spend eight hours in a gym with a head coach and you learn a lot about them,” Stone said. “I think that’s one of the most rewarding things is the fact that I get to meet people from all walks of life from all over the country.”
