Seven American records were set in the first day of lifting.

Mattie: “I fought with everything I had and though it was possible, I lost this battle. Heart breaking is an understatement. Making the Olympic team is all I’ve ever wanted. It is everything I have thought, dreamed, worked and LIVED for every single day for the last 2 years. And I will come back better.” Full Post.
