Another workout has just been released as the 2025 CrossFit Games inch closer – and this one will wreak some havoc on the athletes’ midlines.

Remind me: A few days ago, we learned that double-under crossovers are officially returning in “Event 2.” While “Event 3” remains a mystery, we now know the details of “Event 4,” presented by Pasture Provisions.

It will be the first workout on Saturday morning and will consist of a triplet of running, axle-bar deadlifts, and handstand walking.

Five rounds for time:

  • 300-meter run
  • 12 deadlifts
  • 100-foot handstand walk

The women’s deadlift weight will be 220 pounds (99 kg), while the men’s prescribed weight is 350 pounds (158 kg). Currently, a time cap has not been revealed.

Event 4 Breakdown: Although the run is short and the deadlift weight will not be a limiting factor for any of these athletes, the axle-bar definitely adds an interesting challenge to this workout, one that will likely be more significant on the women’s side. The axle bar circumference is the same for both men and women and may cause more grip fatigue for those with smaller hands. That said, many fans will likely pick the handstand-walking savants to take the win in this event.

An obvious frontrunner for the women is Danielle Brandon, as she has consistently dominated handstand walking-heavy workouts since her debut as a rookie in 2019. Definitely keep an eye on Haley Adams, too.

On the men’s side, while all the men are proficient on their hands, and many will take on the 100-foot length unbroken, Tudor Magda has the speed that could win the workout.
