The Countdown Is On to World Fitness Project’s Second Season
As the CrossFit season is well underway with Semifinals just around the corner, the World Fitness Project’s second season is about to kick off with Tour Stop 1 in London, England, May 1-3, 2025.
- Champions James Sprague and Laura Horvath have committed as Signed Pros for another season, along with many others, while brands like Adidas, Velites, and Rogue are back on board.
Remind me: The 2025 Finals were held in December in Copenhagen, Denmark, with Sprague atop the men’s podium, Dallin Pepper in second, and Ricky Garard in third. Aimee Cringle tied with Horvath in points but ultimately took second place. Emma Lawson finished in third.
Just last week, the Buttery Bros’ released their full-length documentary, Unbreakable, featuring behind-the-scenes footage from Copenhagen. The film helps fans relive each workout, hear athletes’ insights between events, and soak in all the weekend’s vibes.
The 2026 Finals will be held once again at Bella Arena in Copenhagen.
Tour Stop 1 Roster
Before the season even begins, we have a roster change, as Rikke Kyvåg will replace Signed Pro Anikha Greer in London. We can expect additional updates to the leaderboard as competition dates near, due to injuries and schedule conflicts. Currently, 39 of the 40 2026 Signed Pros are on the London roster.
To round out the list of 100 athletes competing, invitations were sent to athletes who competed as Challengers at the 2025 Finals but did not earn a Pro card. A total of 12 Challenger invites were accepted from the following people:
| MEN | WOMEN |
| Dani Camacho | Elena Carratalá |
| Troy Clay | Maribel Gallardo |
| Matt Gilpin | Emily Rethwill |
| Julius Kieser | Amanda Fischer |
| Tommaso Pieri | Vivien-Marie Christian |
| Janie Cheverie | |
| Noortje Bleeker |
Forty-four additional athletes qualified through an online qualifier and will compete as Challengers. Some notable names on the list include Toby Buckland, Giorgos Karavis, Fabian Beneito Selles, Leah Storen, Matilde Oyen Garnes, and Carolyne Prevost.
Lastly, wildcard invites were sent out and accepted by three men and one woman. The competitors are Roldan Goldbaum, Fran Hurtado, Spencer Panchik, and Sara Sigmundsdottir.
- While Sigmundsdottir hasn’t competed at the CrossFit Games since 2019, she has been competing at Semifinals and Wodapalooza, off and on over the last four years, while battling multiple injuries and health challenges.
Tickets for London are currently on sale and discounted until April 20.
