Mariah Moore Brings 2018 CrossFit Games Documentary Back to Life
In late July, Dave Castro revealed that a documentary about the 2018 CrossFit Games was in the works. He didn’t provide further information other than a screenshot, but the Home Office later announced Mariah Moore was in charge. Now, she’s preparing to showcase a project that was once left for dead.
One big thing: Largely considered one of the best seasons in Games history, 2018 featured Mat Fraser and Tia-Clair Toomey locking up their third and second titles, respectively, as well as the exciting debut of second-place finisher Laura Horvath. The addition of events, such as Chaos and The Battleground, only made the competition more entertaining. However, the documentary footage never saw the light of day.
Moore set out to make the 2018 documentary alongside the Buttery Bros, Heber Cannon and Marston Sawyers, continuing a working relationship that also included Fittest on Earth: A Decade of Fitness and The Redeemed and the Dominant: Fittest on Earth. Moore also co-edited Froning: The Fittest Man in History with Cannon.

Scott Panchik knee update: After having an MRI and several doctors look it over, Panchik says he has a “medial meniscus tear in the body and posterior horn along with a grade 3-4 petellofemoral chondromalacia. Lastly my PCL is still torn from college football.” For the next two months, he plans to let his body heal as best it can through nutrition and movement.
NOBULL is expanding their team with an NFL rookie ahead of the football season. Mac Jones, the rookie quarterback for the New England Patriots, is the newest addition.
Mayhem Mission is teaming up with Neverthirst and 25:35 Water to host the Mission:Water awareness event. “I Died and Came Back to Life.” How Having an AED and CPR Certified Members Saved a Man After a Heart Attack
In the early hours of a 6:30 AM class, things were anything but typical for member Kyle Lindstrom. His workout at CrossFit City of Lakes was cut short after suffering from a heart attack.
The details: With no underlying health conditions at 38-years-old, it came as a shock when Lindstrom was finishing a max set of pull-ups and found himself unable to breathe.
“I came down off the rig and thought I needed to catch my breath. I didn’t know what was happening,” said Lindstrom.
Kyle’s wife, Lindsey Harlan Lindstrom, pregnant and due with their baby boy any day, quickly rushed to his side.
“I was the first to run over to him because I saw him on the ground and he was making a weird sound. He was looking me dead in the eyes with a look of panic that I will never be able to forget,” said Lindsey Harlan Lindstrom.
