WHO DONE IT?

Mike Hopkins, a U.S. Air Force Colonel and astronaut, became the first person to do CrossFit benchmark workouts Murph and Chelsea in outer space.

ZERO GRAVITY. HOW’D HE DO THAT?

Both running and weightlifting are challenging without gravity, for obvious reasons. So NASA built the Combined Operational Load Bearing External Resistance Treadmill (COLBERT) and the Advanced Resistance Exercise Device (ARED) to allow astronauts to simulate running and lifting while orbiting Earth.

And wow, NASA sure is M.A.G.A (Making Acronyms Great Again)!

ANYTHING ELSE?

You can watch Mike doing Chelsea on YouTube and this story was first shared by BarBend.
