The Open Be Damned. We’re Eating These 13 Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Snacks Now
We just finished up week 2 of the Open and have a healthy competition (minus Justin and Tommy’s shit-talking) going on between all of the Morning Chalk Up staff. While all in good fun, it didn’t take long for us to realize that we won’t be getting to the games with our athletic abilities. That being said, we decided to stay in our lane of reporting the latest CrossFit news, step into living our best basic lives and bring you this important piece of hard-hitting journalism.
That’s right, fall is here and while we should be working on our weaknesses (ahem, double-unders for me, thanks 20.2 for crushing my dreams), we’re focused on an even bigger issue: the best pumpkin snacks from good ol’ Trader Joe’s.
If you’re hungry, you may want to revisit this after you’ve eaten, but don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Pumpkin Spice Pumpkin Seeds – This might seem redundant, but hey, it’s fall and we wanted to get as much pumpkin spice as we can.
Pumpkin Spice Granola Bark – It’s organic. It’s pumpkin. It’s got dark chocolate. What more could you want?
Pumpkin Spice Almond Beverage – Put this in your Cheerios and your life will never be the same again.
Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps – If you like your snacks crispy and full of flavor, you better pick up a box of these. They’re pumpkin, but also cranberry which is the perfect fall collab.
Pumpkin Rolls – I don’t know about you, but when I was a kid, the occasional Sunday morning cinnamon rolls were always a treat. With pumpkin added to the mix, it really couldn’t get any better.
Pumpkin Cream Cheese – We’ve got a pretty fit team and to keep the fitness going we need carbs. What better way to get them in than with a warm, toasty bagel topped with smooth and creamy pumpkin cream cheese?
Pumpkin Pancakes – Two words: Protein Pancakes. Don’t say we told you so, but you’re definitely guaranteed to get more gains when there’s pumpkin involved.
Pumpkin Cheesecake – Like pumpkin pie, but 100 times better. It’s rich, it’s creamy and, if you’re feeling up for it, totally shareable. We’ll let you decide.
Pumpkin Spice Cookies – Is anyone else addicted to the iced animal crackers? If so, you better find your nearest TJs stat to pick yourself up a box of these bad boys. At least they don’t come in a jar.
Pumpkin Ice Cream – Mini cones that taste like gingerbread + pumpkin ice cream and they’re made exclusively for Trader Joe’s so they are clearly something that needed to be added to the list. Plus, they’re mini so we didn’t feel as bad when we ate the entire box in one sitting.
Pumpkin Joe Joe’s – Step aside, Oreos, and make room for the clearly superior fall cookie. They’re just as twistable, but a touch more basic because pumpkin.
Pumpkin Biscotti – For all of my fellow Italians out there, this list wouldn’t be complete without the comforting goodness of Biscotti. They’re back on the shelves for a sixth season, so that should tell you all you need to know about their legitimacy.
And to wash it down:
Pumpkin Pie Spiced Ginger Brew – If you’re looking for something new and festive this just might be the thing grab on your next TJs trip. And, you might as well make it a mule while you’re at it because hey, you’ve made it this far, might as well go big or go home.
Now that we’ve effectively put ourselves into a food coma, we’re going to take a nap. Once we awake from our slumber, we’re going to see what we can do about sweet talking Dave Castro into giving us something strength-based for week 3 so we can put these carbs to good use.
