Preview Released, “The Fittest” Available for Presale on iTunes

After premiering the trailer for “The Fittest” this afternoon, the Buttery Bros announced that their new documentary is now available for presale purchase on iTunes with an April 7 release date. On April 14, the documentary will be available to purchase and view on multiple video-on-demand platforms.

What is “The Fittest”?:  The latest iteration of the CrossFit Games documentaries, written, directed and produced by Heber Cannon and Marston Sawyers who are known as the Buttery Bros. They teamed-up with Gravitas Ventures in August to continue the successful documentary series that both Cannon and Sawyers spearheaded when they were at CrossFit HQ.

  • The documentary will chronicle the 2019 Games, the season leading up to it, the changes to the Games season and the CrossFit HQ layoffs.
  • The list of athletes interviewed and featured in the documentary includes Mathew Fraser, Tia-Clair Toomey, Patrick Vellner, Katrin Davidsdottir, Annie Thorisdottir, Brooke Wells, Haley Adams, James Newbury, Noah Ohlsen and Brent Fikowski.
  • Dave Castro, Shane Orr, Sammy Moniz, Matt O’Keefe, Sean Woodland, Tommy Marquez and Chris Hinshaw were also interviewed as Cannon and Sawyers delve into the controversial changes surrounding the 2019 Games season.
