Wodapalooza announced today the payouts for the 2023 TYR Wodapalooza competition for all divisions, including elites, teams, masters and adaptive. Wodapalooza takes place January 12-15, 2023 in Miami, FL.

The details: The following is the official payout schedule for each division.

  • Elite Individuals: 1st: $75,000, 2nd: $35,000, 3th: $25,000, 4th: $10,000, 5th: $8,000, 6th: $5,000, 7th: $4,000, 8th: $3,000, 9th: $2,000, and 10th: $1,000.
  • Elite Teams of 3: 1st: $30,000, 2nd: $15,000, 3rd: $10,000, 4th: $7,500, and 5th: $3,500
  • Masters Divisions: 1st: $2,000
  • Adaptive RX: 1st: $2,000

One big thing: Even though the elite individual winner was reduced from $100,000 to $75,000, nearly every other division received a substantial payout increase.

  • Elite team payouts increased by $44,000 total, at least doubling the payouts of 3rd through 5th.
  • Masters divisions winners doubled from $1,000 to $2,000.
  • There will not be a $1,000 payout for an individual event win

The big picture: In addition to the increased payouts, Wodapalooza has introduced several changes to its format this season as well as their first-ever title sponsorship with TYR Sport.

  • The programming collective returns, a cross-coaching collaboration between the best programming minds in CrossFit to put together the events for the finals.
  • They changed the format to allow elites to compete as both individuals and teams. Individuals will compete on the first two days, followed by the teams on days 3 and 4.
