The Masters and Teens wrapped up their weekend at the 2025 Age Group CrossFit Games in Columbus, OH, hosted by Legends and PIT Prodigies.
The four-day championship marks the second year the age groups have separated from the individual and team divisions.
Athletes across 20 individual divisions, including both men and women, fought for podium spots all weekend. There was a cut on Saturday, with only the top 15 (out of 30) moving on to Sunday’s final workout.
Among the age group rookies and some returning athletes were notable CrossFit Games veterans from the elite divisions, including Carolyne Prevost, Rebecca Voigt Miller, Scott Panchik, Marquan Jones, Khan Porter, and Sam Dancer.
Athletes started their weekend just like both individuals and teams kicked off their Games in Albany with an outdoor run event. Instead of running and rowing, though, most age groups competed in a seven-kilometer run (five kilometers for the 60+ divisions). This was followed later in the day by a heavy one-rep max clean and jerk.
The athletes also got to grind it out in a long AMRAP and tested their double under capacity in a spicy skills, interval-style event.
Some key takeaways from the weekend included:
Jason Grubb’s dominance was clear as he secured his sixth title as a CrossFit Games Masters Champion. This year marked a division sweep for Grubb, who won each year he was eligible to compete in the 45-49 age division.
Games veterans came to play in the 35-39 division. Panchik, a nine-time individual Games veteran, took first place in his second Age Group Games. While Jones and Porter took second and third, respectively. Dancer, a long-time CrossFit Invictus individual and team athlete, took fifth overall.
Prevost placed second in her division just weeks after competing at the 2025 CrossFit Games. The Canadian athlete impressively returned to the floor in the women’s 35-39 age division, finishing the weekend with an event win and all top ten finishes.
Laurie Meschishnick added another trophy to her collection of seven podium finishes and three titles, taking first in the 60-64 division.
In the teen divisions, Akil Lopez, Kiera McManus, and Miley Wade, all athletes we had our eyes on, took gold, along with Dennis Olsson.
