Winning in Style – Laura Horvath Takes Third Rogue Title in Soon-To-Be Released Adidas Dropset 4
Last weekend in Aberdeen, Scotland, 40 athletes competed in the 2025 Rogue Invitational. After nine grueling workouts over three days of competition, Adidas athlete Laura Horvath was crowned champion for the third time. Her victory was hardly a surprise — she had already claimed the Rogue podium twice and just won at the World Fitness Project Tour Stop II in August.
- From the beginning, Horvath dominated. By the start of the final day, she led by 40 points over second place — a gap she continued to widen, finishing the weekend 85 points ahead of everyone else.
The athletes faced heavy back squats, a running course, bench press, wall-facing handstand push-ups, lunges, yoke carries, sled pulls, and more as Horvath secured two event wins and never finished a workout outside the top 10.
But it wasn’t just Horvath’s performance and grit that caught the eye. It was also her shoes.
- Releasing in January 2026, the Dropset 4 emphasizes Adidas’ ongoing commitment to the fitness community. Not only was Horvath wearing the new shoe, but so were her fellow Adidas athletes James Sprague, Haley Adams, Jonne Koski, and Rogue Invitational rookie Harry Lightfoot, all of whom competed this weekend.
The details: The Dropset 4, part of Adidas’s award-winning functional strength-focused footwear line, is upgraded with new features compared to previous versions to support a wide range of functional fitness, from training to competition.
- “As the home of performance wear,” the brand stated in a press release, “Adidas continues to shape the future of how athletes train, from the squat-proof Optimé legging collection to re-engineered sports bras for a broader range of activities, as well as its recent announcement of a long-term partnership with fitness race series ATHX.”
What she’s saying: After her win in Aberdeen, Horvath expressed her gratitude for the brand.
- “Finishing second last year fuelled me every single day to come back stronger, so winning this competition today feels incredible,” she said. “I’m grateful to Adidas for supporting me along the way, and the Dropset 4 has been brilliant in giving me the stability and confidence through everything the competition threw at me.”
