ATHX Officially Lands in the US
Last week marked a major milestone for the Adidas-backed ATHX Games, as the team officially announced its launch in the United States.
Following the success of their first US Invitational in Miami earlier this year, the team has just announced the first events on the ATHX US calendar.
- Miami Convention Center — October 10, 2026
- NRG Park, Houston — October 17, 2026
- Venue TBC Los Angeles — November 2026 (coming soon)
Currently, the Miami and Houston events are open for registration. The Los Angeles dates have not yet been announced, but the waitlist is open.
Remind Me
Last year was ATHX’s inaugural season, with athletes competing at events across Europe in cities such as Birmingham, Dublin, Berlin, Liverpool, and Cardiff.
- From January to October 2025, nearly 6,000 athletes participated in the season.
For 2026, the expansion saw events move farther afield across Europe, including cities such as Milan, Paris, and Madrid. Finals for the 2026 season will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, in November. CrossFit Games athletes took part, including Chandler Smith, Laura Horvath, James Sprague, Danielle Brandon, Jennifer Muir, and Ty Jenkins.
In a rapidly growing landscape, ATHX sets itself apart with a distinctive format. Designed for athletes of all skill levels, the competition features workouts such as barbell lifts, cardio machines, functional movements, and tactical exercises that assess both strength and endurance.
- The two-and-a-half-hour event tests athletes with three different workouts that remain the same throughout the season. Each year, the workouts will change to challenge competitors in new ways and allow them to adjust their training.
In addition to the US dates just shared, the full European event calendar for 2027 is now available, and registration is open.
Another set of dates to put on your calendar is for the 2026 training camp, to be held in Croatia from September 21-25. Last year’s camp was in Tenerife, Spain, and was attended by elite athletes such as the Smiths, Jorge Fernandez, Jonne Koski, and Ella Wilkinson, among others.
