WAIT, WHAT?

Back in 2013, way before Mattie Rogers was even thinking about being an Olympian, she was dreaming about making it to the CrossFit Games. Her goal was to be a Games athlete.

Seventeen-years-old at the time, she hadn’t even started focusing on Olympic weightlifting yet but her performance in the 2013 CrossFit Open granted her an invitation to compete in the CrossFit Games Varsity Gauntlet; a CrossFit Kids competition which started in 2011 and would evolve into the Teens divisions introduced in 2015.

SO WHAT HAPPENED?

She won, naturally. We wish we could tell you more, but information about the event is really limited. For those curious, these were the WODs as far as we can tell.

We did find this interview Mattie and her coach Danny Camargo gave and these pics from event at the Stub Hub Center.

ANYTHING ELSE?

That was less than four years ago. What can four years of dedication, drive, and commitment achieve in your own life? Think about it.
