Overview

As the CrossFit Nomad I am on the road 3-5 days per week, 3-4 weeks per month and with each destination brings a new city, always in search of the next best CrossFit gym.

On my most recent trip, I visited CrossFit Predators in Oakland Park, FL. The gym affiliated in 2010 and has an excellent website that answered all my questions in regards to dropping in, (WOD, Coaches, Schedule).  The daily programming follows CompTrain, and the membership seems to love it!

Upon entering the 3000 SqFt.  facility, I was met by one of the coaches who immediately introduced himself and asked if I was dropping in. The gym was equipped with a full stock of ROGUE fitness barbells, kettlebells, and bumper plates. Additionally, they had some specialized weightlifting platforms and jerk blocks, since the coach as an affinity for Olympic weightlifting.

The gym has a small retail space with Ascent Protein, FITAID, CBD oils, and plenty of CrossFit Predators T-Shirts!

Additionally, the owners started a non-profit, Promises Recovery, in the name of their daughter who recently lost her life to opioid addiction. They use profits made from the gym to help others fight this terrible addiction.

How to drop in.

After a quick search through CrossFit’s Affiliate map, I found CrossFit Predators, and dropped a quick email in regards to dropping in. I received a response within the hour and set up my visit. Upon arrival I filled out he waiver and was given a tour of the facility and introduced to the class. Overall an excellent experience!
