Patrick Vellner is “excited to see how the qualification shakes out” after 19.5
How does Patrick Vellner, who already has his spot at the 2019 CrossFit Games locked up, add some excitement to his Open season? Participating in a live announcement, that’s how!
Vellner joined Paul Tremblay, Tim Paulson, Craig Kenney, and Pete Shaw at CrossFit NCR for the 19.4 live announcement.
“The trick to Open announcements is just to be fully prepared to redo the workout, [but] it went well.”
This is Vellner’s third Open announcement and it definitely went well. Vellner’s 8:33 performance at the live announcement was good enough for 9th worldwide on 19.4, placing him in 38th overall on the leaderboard going into the final week of the Open.
“[I’m] ready for the Open to be done,” says Vellner, “and [I’m] excited to see how the qualification shakes out.”
