Hillary Froning’s Book Offers Help and Comfort to those Looking to Adopt a Child
On September 29, Hillary Froning, the wife of four-time CrossFit Games champion Rich Froning, announced her book is “on the shelves.”
- “I am terrified, nervous, anxious, excited, over the moon happy. I pray that sharing my struggles and stories (will) help those in the same place I’ve been, find comfort, laugh and know they aren’t alone even if they feel like it,” Hillary wrote on Instagram. “I pray my book feels like a friend because believe me, you get to know me better than you doing these squares.”
- She added: “Thank you Rich Froning for always holding my hand along the way in any journey we face.”
The details: Blessed by Adoption: One Mom’s Stories, Scriptures, and Prayers to Comfort You and Remind You That You’re Not Alone tells the story of her family’s adoption journey, which has included adopting three children.
- The book features 30 short essays that dive into how she and Rich found their birth mom, what it was like going through home studies and hospital visits, as well as their experience telling their friends and family. It also includes Bible verses and prayers, as well as reflections aimed to guide those thinking about going down the adoption journey.
The GOAT rings in: “The most exciting thing about the book is…I think it’s going to help people..i think it’s going to give people that, ‘Hey, other people have gone through this. We’re not alone…,’” Rich Froning said in this video on Instagram.
- “I’m really excited to see just the stories of hope that come through it, or come out of it…,” he added.
Hillary’s book can be purchased on Amazon, or at Barnes and Noble, Target and Walmart. It’s also available in a Kindle e-book version.
