One big thing: At the conclusion of the weekend, the 2020 CrossFit Games live stream eclipsed the 2019 Games livestream by nearly an additional 1 million views per day. While the 2019 CrossFit Games brought in an average of 2.9 million views per day, 2020 had an average of 3.7 million views per day across all services, which doesn’t include stats from CBS’s Pluto.Tv channel or the live TV broadcast on CBS Sports.

The big picture: It seems that this weekend has brought the community together. Not only did dedicated fans around the world tune into the live stream, some tenacious fans still showed up to the Morgan Hill Outdoor Sports Complex to cheer on athletes in person from behind the fences, despite CrossFit’s no spectator mandate. With the challenges that this year presented, the fans still showed up, proving that not even a global pandemic will stop the growth of the sport of fitness and the fans that support it.
