Solving the Mayhem Equation: How Do You Beat an Unbeatable Team
The 2021 CrossFit Games were another dominant display by the team from CrossFit Mayhem Freedom, as they won their record fifth Affiliate Cup title in a competition weekend that more closely resembled a victory parade than a competition.
Mayhem has now won five of the last six years, under three different season formats, and with more than a dozen different athletes under their banner.
How is anyone going to compete with them?
That’s the big question moving forward for anyone involved in the Affiliate Cup, and it’s one that I’ll attempt to provide clarity on this week as the competitive team landscape will undoubtedly shift again to better adjust to the new (old) format introduced last season.
