Medeiros and Vellner: All Square at 11 Apiece on Last 22 Live Competition Events

Coming off his impressive run at the 2021 NOBULL Crossfit Games, some were still asking the question of whether Justin Medeiros is really that much fitter than Patrick Vellner. And heading into the 2021 Rogue Invitational the picks were pretty evenly split amongst analysts and experts as to which of these two men would eventually win. 

Now that the competition has ended, and Medeiros has not only backed up his performance from this summer, but also stripped the title of Rogue Invitational champion from Vellner (who had been the 2020 winner), many are saying the Medeiros era is here, and they may be right, but don’t be too quick to anoint his dominance over Vellner. 

As it turns out, over the totality of the Games from this past summer and the Rogue Invitational this past weekend, there were 22 events, and head to head, the score between them is now 11 a piece:
