We’re down to the wire for the 2026 Rogue Invitational, which kicks off in just a few weeks. However, in late summer and early fall, injuries led to backfill invites.

Here’s Who’s Out

Jonne Koski – Heading into World Fitness Project (WFP) Tour Stop 2, Koski had been nursing a foot injury that worsened during the first workout of the competition, the 40-yard dash. On social media, he shared, “My foot wasn’t healing as quickly as I had hoped after WFP. MRI results showed a ruptured plantar fascia. It’s already much better, but it still needs some more time to properly heal and recover before I can get fully back at it.”

Austin Hatfield – While Hatfield never announced on Instagram that he was out, his name and athlete profile photo were removed from the Rogue Invitational competitors list late last month.

Justin Medeiros – In late September, days before Gymreapers Wodapalooza SoCal, the two-time Rogue Invitational champion was in a motorcycle accident that left him with a broken jaw, which was subsequently wired shut. He’s currently recovering but will not be competition-ready for some time.

Alexis Raptis – At the 2026 CrossFit Games, Alexis injured her ankle during the “Ranch 7200” 7K trail run. Shortly after, she shared on social media that what she initially thought was a high ankle sprain was more severe.

  • “It turns out I completely tore my anterior talofibular ligament & partially tore my deltoid ligament. I got PRP in it this week & I’ll be in a walking boot for the next few weeks,” she said.

Haley Adams – Like Hatfield, Adams hasn’t publicly shared anything about her withdrawal from the competition, except that she’s been leaning hard into HYROX training lately. She completed her first race in Mumbai last month, finishing in 1:10, and plans at least one more in the coming months.

Here’s Who’s In

Harry Lightfoot – After missing the 2026 CrossFit Games, the U.K.’s Lightfoot competed in August at WFP’s Tour Stop 2 and finished 14th. This will be his sophomore season at Rogue, having competed there last year. The hometown-(ish) hero won over the crowd last year. Although he finished 18th, he left the weekend fired up for another chance.

  • Last fall he wrote, “This is Rogue. The workouts are Rogue-esque. It’s unlike any competition I’ve ever done before and tested me in a way that, on reflection, is so valuable for my progression in the game. Test events with heavy loads or high power output themes. Show me where I stack up against the rest of the field. Then go home and get better at it.”

Isaac Newman – New dad Isaac Newman will step onto the Rogue competition floor for the first time. A perennial Semifinals athlete, he placed 25th at the 2025 CrossFit Games but fell short of qualifying in 2026. He finished 5th in “the Q.”

Saxon Panchik – Among this list of backfill competitors, Panchik is the most seasoned. He has competed in five of the last six years. In 2025, he received a backfill invitation and finished 17th. His highest finish was in 2020, when he finished 5th in the online iteration of the competition.

Siria Meha – Like Newman, Meha will make her rookie appearance at Rogue after a busy few months. After competing at the 2026 CrossFit Games and finishing 12th, she won the Belgrade Games and XENOM London.

Kyra Milligan – After competing at Gymreapers Wodapalooza SoCal, Milligan is jumping right back into competition. She last competed at the Rogue Invitational in 2023, the event’s final year in Round Rock, Texas, where she finished 18th. She also took 4th in “the Q.”
