WHOOP and Athletic Brewing to Study Effects of Alcohol on Fitness, Sleep and Recovery

WHOOP and Athletic Brewing Company, two major brands with ties to the fitness world, are joining forces for a unique purpose. They want to study the effects of alcohol on fitness, sleep, and recovery.
One big thing: WHOOP issued a press release and provided more details about the partnership. The two brands will encourage people to wear the WHOOP 4.0 during the month of January as part of their Give Dry a Try initiative.
- The goal is to have all of the users log their drinking habits during the month of January. WHOOP will then examine all of the data points to provide more details about the effects of alcohol consumption on the body.
- Some of the key data points tracked through this challenge include sleep duration, time spent in different sleep stages, heart rate variability (HRV), and resting heart rate (RHR).
