NOBULL Chief Marketing Officer Todd Meleney has resigned from his position at the company and put out a statement reflecting on the move and what his next steps might be.

Remind me: Morning Chalk Up reported over the weekend that Meleney would be resigning. Meleney was the most public-facing employee of NOBULL and helped the company grow as one of the original team members back in 2013.

  • “Over the last year, I’ve reflected a lot on what matters most to me and what I want out of the next chapter of my career and life. It became clear to me that it’s time to make changes,” said Meleney, in a statement to Morning Chalk Up.
  • “While this news may be surprising to some, it didn’t happen overnight. I’m proud of how I got to this moment. I’m grateful for the opportunity I received back then. But I’m ready to focus my energy on all the amazing people and opportunities around me.”
  • Meleney didn’t share what his next steps will be, but added “NOBULL will forever be part of my history. Thank you to everyone who made it so special. It’s time to build what’s next and I can’t wait to share my journey with you!”

In Meleney’s full statement he reflects on his time at the company and the equitable team dynamic of the operation, which has ultimately led to the many achievements the company has made over the last decade.

“For ten years, that was the secret to our success. We signed athletes. Told stories through product. Hosted events. Formed partnerships and celebrated all of them with amazing content. It was part art, part science. And it’s how we got from a single booth at the East Coast Championship in 2015 to presenting the NFL Combine in 2023,” he added.

NOBULL has now become a household brand name to more than just the CrossFit community with clothing almost as recognizable as the elite athletes it sponsors, such as Tia-Clair Toomey, Justin Medeiros, Katrin Davidsdottir and more.

This is big news for a brand that has, in a way, shaped CrossFit culture since (and before) becoming the title sponsor of the CrossFit Games and launching line after line of apparel and shoes Crossfitters can’t wait to get their hands on. Meleney’s mark on NOBULL is nothing short of impressive and it’ll be interesting to see where he ends up next.
