Four CrossFit Games athletes are set to star in the revival of the Australian version of the television show Gladiators.

On Tuesday September 26, an official cast photo was released on the official Gladiators Australia Instagram, confirming Games athletes Khan Porter, Katelin van Zyl, Alethea Boon and Harriet Roberts as castmates, alongside 10 other athletes.

Other Gladiator cast members include two Ninja Warrior contestants, an Ironman, a former professional rugby player, an F45 trainer, a powerlifting champion, a multi-world record holder and a Hollywood stunt woman.

The Gladiator reboot will be hosted by former Australian netball captain Liz Ellis and former professional rugby league player Beau Ryan.

According to a story published in the Daily Mail:

  • Gladiators and Contenders will compete against each other in the ultimate test of speed, strength, stamina, agility and power.
  • There will be a mix of new challenges as well as obstacles from the original 90s Gladiator series, including Hang Tough, Duel, The Wall, PowerBall, Pyramid and The Eliminator.

The bottom line: The show is set to air on Australian screens in 2024. UK fans get ready as the BBC is also planning a reboot of the UK Gladiator series.
