HYROX Expands Anti-Doping Standards for 2025/26 Season, Releases Full Race Calendar

As the 2025/26 HYROX season gets underway, the organization has announced sweeping new anti-doping standards for all upcoming Elite 15 Individual and Doubles races.
Announced on Monday, September 1, HYROX plans to expand its Athlete License program for Elite competitors. The agreement requires athletes to adhere to the HYROX Anti-Doping Code and a general code of conduct, raising standards for competitors and imposing stricter rules throughout the race season.
- “With a growing cohort of professional athletes and aspiring competitors in the E15 ecosystem, this new licensing process sets the foundation to develop robust, defined pathways to elite competition and builds on the development work within the Elite Working Group,” the HYROX press release states.
Throughout the rest of the 2025/26 season, anti-doping testing will be expanded to cover all Elite 15 Doubles races and all current Elite 15 Singles races at Majors, Regional Championships, and World Championships.
The athletes with the license will receive enhanced administrative support and access to first wave slots for qualifying races starting in the 2025/26 season. They will also gain additional anti-doping education and support from HYROX and the Elite Sport team.
- “Athletes seeking to qualify for the E15 competition season will have the option to apply for a license and engage with the Elite Sport team throughout the season; minimum performance requirements will apply,” the HYROX press release clarified.
The Athlete License is valid for one season, and athletes can apply for it using the online application.
All race dates for the remainder of the season have now been announced, including three new locations: Istanbul, Turkey; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Helsinki, Finland.
- The first Major of the season will be held in Hamburg, Germany, from October 2 to 5, 2025.
One last thing: The 2025/26 HYROX World Championships are set to take place in Stockholm, Sweden. The date has yet to be announced.
