The world’s most popular fitness race is moving from land to sea.
HYROX recently announced it will host a four-day Mediterranean fitness cruise featuring training sessions, competitions, and community events.
The race that has taken the fitness world by storm will host its first HYROX cruise from October 21-25, 2026. The event is run by HYROX Experiences, the travel-and-lifestyle arm of HYROX World, which aims to bring travel experiences into the world of fitness.
- “The HYROX Cruise has been designed to meet the demand of more and more travellers wanting to prioritise their health, fitness and overall wellbeing, even while on holiday,” HYROX HQ wrote in a press release.
The cruise is currently open only to EU and UK nationals residing in the EU or the UK. The Mein Schiff 4 by TUI Cruises is the ship reserved for the event and will depart from Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
- “Guests can expect 350+ hours of training, including community workouts for up to 150 participants, a wide variety of HYROX 365 program sessions showcasing the best global gym concepts, technique workshops, panel talks, meet-and-greets, and spectate a never-before-seen HYROX race featuring special athletes,” according to the press release.
There will also be wellness and spa amenities, entertainment, and social events on board.
For this initial voyage, 2,300 athletes and 15 top HYROX pros will be on board. According to the cruise details, participants can expect coaching from well-known trainers and athletes, as well as a new race experience on the trip.
Three-time HYROX World Champion Lauren Weeks and Australia’s Joanna Wietrzyk will participate, with more athlete announcements to come.
- A cabin ticket starts at 2,599 euros, with a suite costing 4,499 euros.
- The trip is open to athletes of all fitness levels, and the onboard program is meant to be adaptable.
The cruise begins in Spain and sails to Marseille, France. It then travels to Barcelona, Spain, and finally returns to Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
HYROX has become one of the most popular fitness events in recent years, with races selling out within minutes and HYROX-specific gyms opening across the country. This latest event is just one example of how big the fitness race has become and how it continues to grow.
