While it feels like the 2025 CrossFit season just ended, the 2026 competitions are right around the corner.

  • The Open kicks off in less than a month, Wodapalooza is two weeks after that, and the first In-Person Semifinal, the Mayhem Classic, is a month later.

Rich Froning’s Mayhem Classic will be held once again in Cookeville, TN, April 17-19, and will be the first of 10 live events sending Individual Division athletes to the CrossFit Games (there are two additional in-person events for age-group athletes only).

In 2025, two men and two women qualified for the competition, but this year another slot has been added, so the entire men’s and women’s event podium will be packing their bags for San Jose, CA, in July.

In 2025, Fee Saghafi and Abbie Domit tied for first and second place with 400 points. Emily Rolfe took third with 395 points, just missing out on a qualifying spot.

On the men’s side, Austin Hatfield took first, Colten Mertens took second, and Roman Khrennikov took third, falling short of qualifying in Cookeville. (He would later win Wodland Fest, earning his ticket to the Games there.)

In early January, the Mayhem team reported that the first batch of invitations was sent to athletes based on the Rogue Points System (RPS), which ranks athletes by performance and participation across the CrossFit season, the Rogue Invitational, Wodapalooza, and the World Fitness Project.

Who’s Competing?

Initially, 30 invitations were sent out (to the top 15 men and top 15 women on the RPS). Six women and five men accepted. A second round of invites was then sent to the next eight women and men on the Rogue list; four more women accepted, as did two more men. Currently, additional names have begun trickling in to round out the roster.

Here is the current roster as of the time of publication:

Women

  • Arielle Loewen
  • Gabi Migala
  • Emma Lawson
  • Emily Rolfe
  • Lucy Campbell
  • Olivia Kerstetter
  • Manon Angonese

The competition will host 20 men and 20 women.

Another one of this season’s In-Person Semifinal events, the Syndicate Crown, announced its list of invitees on social media last week. It is scheduled to take place from May 29 through 31.

Instead of using the Rogue Points System, Syndicate has based its invitation list on the top 20 men and women from the 2025 CrossFit Games. All remaining spots will be filled based on the 2026 Quarterfinals.
