Today, Reebok introduces the next iteration of the award-winning Nano franchise, the Nano Gym 2.0. Designed as a do-it-all training shoe, the Nano Gym 2.0 delivers a lightweight, ultra-responsive training experience, allowing athletes to lock in and move without compromise.
Built with premium performance support, the new model offers a dialed-in, more agile fit for a variety of modalities, whether it is a boutique fitness class or an intense session at the gym.
- Tal Short, Product Director at Reebok, told the Morning Chalk Up: “The Nano Gym 2.0 is designed to be a versatile training shoe to support a wide variety of athletes. We focused on creating something that athletes could lock in with to tackle any workout, whether it be pro racer Pierre Gasly, tennis athlete Magdalena Fręch, or more traditional CrossFit athletes like Fee Saghafi.”
Most notable, the Nano Gym 2.0 features “Floatpulse ultra-responsive foam” in the midsole, an innovation from Reebok that delivers lightweight, high-rebound cushioning for explosive energy return on every rep. Further reducing bulk and unnecessary materials, the new model offers a streamlined upper for ultimate breathability, support and comfort.
- “The Nano Gym 2.0 lets me train with precision and speed,” said Pierre Gasly, Reebok athlete and French racing driver. “No matter the workout, I feel ready to go in my Nanos.”
Reebok’s global marketing campaign for the Nano Gym 2.0 is headlined by its elite athlete roster, who continue to redefine sports culture across a variety of disciplines, including Gasly and pro tennis athlete Magdalena Fręch. Each athlete showcases the Nano Gym 2.0’s versatility as they train for sport at the highest level.
- “We’re excited to introduce the Nano Gym 2.0 to the fitness community,” said Short. “As our most versatile gym shoe yet, it’s our goal to continue innovating to create products that support athletes across their entire training journey.”
Short went on to explain that with less bulk but ultra-responsiveness, the Nano Gym 2.0 is great for high-intensity workouts that rely on quick moves, ample support, and cardio-heavy sessions. “It’s a great option for everyday gym routines or HYROX-style sessions,” he said.
When choosing between the Nano and the Nano Gym, Short shared that the Nano (as well as the Nano X5 Edge) is built to support more traditional training, including CrossFit-style workouts and heavy lifting.
When comparing the new model to the original Nano Gym, the design team focused on removing unnecessary components from the first iteration, resulting in a lighter-weight shoe. Additional foam in the midsole was added to improve comfort and rebound and to help the shoe perform well during explosive, high-intensity movements.
- Short shared that it was a priority for Reebok to “innovate and create the best product possible for the fitness community. We’re always looking at the latest fitness trends and evolution of training routines to create a training shoe that will best support athletes in all of their fitness needs”
On July 16th, the all-new Nano Gym 2.0 ($100 MSRP) will be available here, offered in a variety of unisex and women’s launch colorways, with additional colorway drops throughout the season.
